"Louise - Your beach house exceeded our expectations. Everything was so nice. It was the perfect gathering spot for family from Kansas, Los Angeles, and Portland. We loved it. Tidal Rave was our favorite restaurant, but we managed to try chowder from several local restaurants too. Thank you for the recommendations and for organizing the house to run smoothly. It was hard for us to leave - especially to walk away from the leather chairs in front of the windows. "Louise - One of the many highlights of our stay at the beach house was a Charter fishing trip with my three son in laws. We caught our limit and had a great time but best was yet to come. On our return trip to the Marina, we were blessed to watch a Gray Whale feeding along the side of our Charter boat. He surfaced many times and our captain knew just how to keep up with him (or maybe a her). All our children had a fantastic time on the Oregon coast, and they loved the Beach House. " Louise - A Perfect Retreat! - I took my team of 5 there for a planning conference and retreat. It was so perfect! Everyone had lots of room and the common areas are so spacious and comfortable. The kitchen is very well outfitted and it is so beautiful. Just stay home and eat in! The storms were so fun to watch from teh recliners and an eagle flew by several times. We all higly recommend it and hope to go back next year! We went to the Earthbound Spa in Newport and had massages. It is small but the massages were good. Dinner at Aprils was great too. "

Once at the house, we all settled in and enjoyed the ocean and beach. The accommodations could not have been better. Plenty of bed space, living space, kitchen space and room for everyone to "chill out". We walked the beach almost every day, flew kites, explored a little bit of Newport and drove up the coast to Depoe Bay. We had three days that I have described to friends back home as "perfect". Clear skies, puffy clouds out to sea, almost 60 degrees and family all around. It was great.

I want to tell you how much my family enjoyed our time in your beach house in June of this year. We loved your house!! It was everything we had hoped and more: pristine, beautiful, convenient, private, easy to get to, gorgeous views, luxurious. It worked exactly as I had hoped it would for our family. Thank you for your hospitality and your care of the property. The kids got to the house before we did and as Rick and I were walking in the front door, my granddaughter came racing up, dancing with excitement, saying, “We saw WHALES!! Right out the front window!! Whales!!” And sure enough, we saw them every day we were in the house but one, and that day we saw them elsewhere. When one of our siblings turns 80, the six of us with spouses meet up, this time at this wonderful house. We had a fabulous time, cancelled all dinners out in favor of eating in. Found wonderful fresh fish on a local dock. House is on one level and VERY well equipped, clean and furnished. The decks are perfect for cocktail hour and sun bathing. The oldest of us, 84, had no trouble getting to the beach. Kite flying is fine. Bring plenty of binoculars so you can see the whales close-up. We have a new family table tennis champion (pro tem) and the REAL challenge is finding something as nice four years from now. Comfortable, quiet, roomy, private with every possible convenience, two dishwashers and the two birthday cakes we baked came out perfectly. In all: perfect. The 11 of us gave it a solid 10.0. - Bill"

"Louise, we had a wonderful time in your house. The very best equipped kitchen we have ever had in all of our rentals over the years. We love to cook, in fact we ate out at lunch once during the trip. Fresh tuna was outstanding. One of the daughter-in-laws family camped about 2 miles down the road and were with us during the day for 2 days. The whales were showing off and made for great viewing. The house is laid out great and the beach is quite accessible. The guys skinned, bogie boarded and even got a couple of decent rides on the surf board. Fished one day on the river, played golf one day flew kites, played ping pong so we stayed busy. The marathoners even got in a 14 mile run one morning. Attached is a group picture. We loved sitting and looking out at the sunset, the close walks to the beach front were simple even for a mother with a small child, the huge area to play games as a big group is unreal, ethe huge table to eat was perfect for our group. and the absolute privacy in the multiple bedrooms and bathrooms when we were ready to go our own ways. It was a perfect home for our team building excercise.

We loved everything about your home! The view, however, was the best part. We really enjoyed sitting in the chairs by the window and reading a book. We never wanted to go out to dinner since we had the best view in town. ( The seafood market down the road with take-out had the most amazing Halibut fish and chips!) We were especially impressed at how well stocked the kitchen was and how you made sure there was plenty of tissues, soap, paper towels etc. The walk to the beach was easy and we took advantage of that every day! We hope to come back again sometime! I wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed your lovely home. It was a perfect relaxing retreat from the craziness of life! After a fantastic, sunny week in your oceanfront home. We were over the moon about the house, its finishings and furnishings, and the unbeatable views. Everything! The living spaces were so suitable to our group of seniors and younger family members, and the bedrooms and baths were very well appointed and positioned.
Big, big smiles is right. The most universally stated question from my family members was: "How could the owners let complete strangers stay here? This home is just too beautiful to take a chance on renters that wouldn't take care of it." We were fortunate, indeed, to have the Muscato house experience!

We DID have a wonderful time in Newport at your beautiful house! There were so many great things about it, especially the well-stocked kitchen and the very comfortable beds, not to mention the fabulous view! The house was absolutely perfect and we, all eight of us loved the stay. The chairs lined up along the front windows are wonderful. We all seemed to congregate there and in the seating area by the corner window. It was so well stocked! You obviously put a lot of time into its setup as a vacation rental. We LOVED your home and enjoyed our stay very much. A few friends came over on different days, just for the day/evening and everyone thought the house was fabulous. You have it so well-stocked! We dearly enjoyed your lovely beach house! It is even nicer than the pictures on your website. It was perfect for our family and provided a terrific week with Mom. The view is incredible and the 2 great rooms provided plenty of space for everyone with conversations flowing with little noise and lots of fun. We had such a wonderful time--it is a gorgeous home. Will write a glowing review. Thank you again for sharing your beautiful seaside abode. My Dad celebrated his 79th birthday there, and we baked two apple pies for him that came out just right! Your kitchen is very well stocked. He sat in a captain's chair the next morning with a leftover slice watching the view, and I thought that the setting made for a very wonderful, peaceful way to mark the occasion. The views were extraordinary, can't imagine it could get any better. We did some kite flying as well--great kite shop in town - and ate at Georgie's on our last night. Having well-functioning wifi was great, as I could get work out of the way early before everyone got up. Beds were excellent. We had a wonderful time with our three daughters and their husbands and our four grandchildren. The kids got a local photographer to take pictures of us on the beach as this was a special time of family fellowship to celebrate our 40th Wedding Anniversary. We just returned from Newport and our week in your fabulous home. I just want to thank you for providing a place that fits the needs of my family so perfectly. It is as if you built it just for us! We have 3 grown children (and spouses) and 5 grandchildren (and counting) so the arrangement of the bedrooms and baths was absolutely perfect.
It IS a lot of house – but it definitely flows well. Even with all of us – little people and big ones – we never felt like we were on top of one another. I just feel compelled to say that IF you EVER feel that you would like to sell it, would you please let me know before you list it with an agent?? I’m not sure we would ever be in the position to purchase such a magnificent place, but I would definitely like to give that option some prayerful consideration if it presented itself. (I’m sure that every single guest tells you the same thing!) The little ones just had the best time at the beach – and the weather was lovely. Not a single rainy or inclement day all week. We were so blessed.
At any rate, we all had a fabulous time which would NOT have been a fraction as fabulous if we had been in different accommodations. Everyone was begging for me to schedule a return trip during the summer. I just checked your calendar, and it looks like there is some availability left. We’ll get to work on figuring out if we can make this happen. At the very least, we will definitely be returning 2 years from now for Thanksgiving week. If you are scheduling that far in advance now, I would be happy to book it.

Yes, we had a great time. The weather was stormy for the first few nights making for some wild beach walks and cozy viewing from inside. The weather was sunny and nice for the remainder of our trip which made for some nice views of the coast during our excursions. The house was more than we had hoped for; comfortable and well stocked.

The limited stairs were perfect for our parents, who are in their late 70’s and less mobile these days. Our children and grandchildren had their own space and plenty of common area to reconnect. The kitchen is a delight for a large group and we took most of our meals in, which certainly helps with the expenses. Although we had several days of foggy conditions, there were a couple of those glorious Oregon beach days with clear skies and plenty of beach time at your road end beach. What an amazing week! Everything worked out perfectly. Thanks again for your hospitality. My wife and I have been renting houses on the Oregon coast for over 15 years, mostly in the Cannon Beach/Manzanita area, and have never come across a location as nicely designed and accommodating as yours. The unique layout was fantastic for our three generational group of 12. We loved the large open concept that incorporates the kitchen allowing everyone to feel present without having to negotiate for space and the positioning of the bedrooms was such that you felt like you always had your own private oasis to sneak away to when needed. Nice move using solid wood bedrooms doors to help dampen the sounds of laughter from people staying up way too late trying to complete puzzles. I believe all of us took naps during the week in one of the wonderful sun drenched lounge chairs positioned in front of the amazing view of the Pacific. Your beach house is a true gem. I hope your house is still available the next time our clan decides to vacation on the Oregon Coast. - Doug

Thank you for renting your beach house to us. We had an amazing trip from Seattle to Medford. Once we arrived at the beach we stayed 3 nights in Cannon Beach, 4 nights at your house, and 4 nights in Gold Beach, then did Crater Lake and flew home from Medford. Although we saw amazing scenery, lots of whales, etc. your house was a highlight of our trip. It exceeded our expectations in every way! We loved the Newport area, the guys fished and we enjoyed their salmon one evening, grilled steaks another night, and enjoyed Georgie's in Newport one night, also excellent. The house was so comfortable and well supplied that I wish we could have stayed longer. I can't make a single suggestion to make it better. We did have a terrific time last week. Our family agreed your beach house is the best we've rented on the coast for our reunions, which have been many. We try to go to a different location each year, but we're definitely considering your home again for a week , if it's available. We didn't begin to cover all the sights in the Newport area - partly because of the rainy, windy weather. We did enjoy a half-day at the aquarium which has expanded greatly since my last visit there. Some years we prepare many of the meals beforehand, but it's such a hassle to pack up several coolers, etc. So, since we knew there was a Fred Meyer and Safeway in Newport, we made a trip for groceries after we got settled in the house. We were thrilled to find such a well-equipped kitchen, including a turkey roaster which held our 19 pound turkey. Nothing like having two dishwashers and two refrigerators! My son used one of your recipe books to make pumpkin and pecan pies. We made SEVERAL grocery trips - we spent quite a few shekels at the seafood store (where you can cook crabs, which we didn't). And the day we went to the aquarium we ate lunch there - such good clam chowder. We also appreciated the comfy furniture, especially the good reading and viewing chairs in front of the living room window. What a spectacular view! When not eating, we used the kitchen table for playing card games. The table in the hall was perfect for jigsaw puzzles. We finished three by the end of the week. I'm a puzzle maniac, but did get some help from the others. Rainy weather encourages indoor entertainment, of course! Almost every day, though, we bundled up and went for a walk on the beach. One sandcastle was built, amazingly enough. The ping-pong table got a workout. My kids grew up with a ping-pong table in the basement, so they're pretty good players. Doubles were going much of the time. The layout of your home is wonderful - lots of places to get some privacy when needed. In summary, you outdid yourselves with this house - all the tasteful décor, luxurious furnishings, etc. We spent most of the day at Depoe Bay, where there's a wonderful whaling museum. Louise, we are really enjoying your lovely beach-view home; it is simply wonderful!
We really had a wonderful time.... the weather was ideal (we all like cooler weather, so temps in the 50s and 60s was ideal). Saw 3 or 4 gorgeous sunsets. We were able to spot whales spouting everyday from the house and saw some whale tales too. We had brought one pair of binoculars, but we were glad that you had a pair at the house with a wider scope of view. There were 10 of us staying at the house, and the space was perfect... we used it all, including garage apt and ping pong and foos ball, but we never felt crowded. The double dishwashers and ample kitchen counter area and dishes/silverware were great! The reclining chairs in front of the living room windows were super comfortable! I loved leaving the sliding door open in the SW bedroom and listening to the surf all night. The beach was never crowded - a huge bonus! We ate at Georgie's and Nana's Irish Pub and they were both really good; the females in the group also had high tea at the Grand Victorian - a special treat which I would recommend. All in all it was terrific!

Just returned back from our week at your lovely home. Just wanted to thank you for all of the many touches and features that you have included that make it such a comfortable and fantastic home away from home. There is a peace and serenity there that comes not just from the breathtaking locale, but from the spirit of the place, which I believe is from THE Spirit of God. Which leads me to thank you, also, for going the extra mile and placing those Bibles in all the bedrooms. Awesome touch - and that, no doubt, brings delight to our Father's heart. At any rate, we did our best to treat the house as if it were our own and care for it with love. That week with our family just ministers to me in so many ways - and I believe that the other family members share in that. I am so very grateful that you are willing to share your home with others, and being the selfish person that I am, would, undoubtedly, have a very difficult time doing that if I were the owner - especially if it were not a financial necessity. I'm sure that it blesses everyone who is fortunate enough to spend some time within its walls - as it has done for us. Everyone in my party voiced their hope that we would be able to return again next summer, if not sooner. I told them that I would have to ramp up can and bottle recycling in order to save my pennies! :-) The house to the lovely order it was in when we arrived. Thank you again for blessing all of us in such a tangible and memorable way.

The word "perfection" comes to mind when thinking of our recent stay in your beautiful beach house. It is extremely well appointed and equipped and stocked better than any house we have stayed in before. The comfortable spacious areas created a retreat to relax, refresh, recharge and reacquaint 6 long-time high school friends and spouses. The weather was so perfect, that most of our time was spent enjoying the sunshine on the deck, walking the beach and watching migrating whales from the chairs by the windows. Thankfully, we brought field glasses to see more whale detail, a first experience for 5 of the couples.
Your home is lovely, better than the photos show, and very 'user friendly'. We appreciated the thoughtful suggestions for sights to see and restaurants to visit, but loved using your open, windowed kitchen as we visited together. It is an altogether wonderful, comfortable place to spend a few days 'catching up' and we unanimously agreed this was a 5-star+ experience which we would like to repeat.

The house is absolutely lovely and all my nursing friends say I was so clever to find such a beauty. The sun welcomed us and we all were astounded by the view. The October gathering was fantastic. You just can't beat the view! We love having our two families together and this was a great house to do that. Very well organized and beautiful! This is our second time renting it and we couldn't be happier. It's a short walk down to a wonderful beach. We love to take a day to go crabbing on the Tradewinds charter boat in Newport. It's a reasonable cost per person and the whole boat splits the crabs. They will cook and clean the crab for you at the dock. Then have a big crab feed! Just make sure you don't put ANY crab in the refrigerator! Store it in a cooler on the deck if you have leftovers.

From the moment you make your reservation until well after you leave, the feeling of comfort engulfs you. Everything about Louise and Dennis's home will leave you feeling like you are the richest and most blessed people on the planet. The house is perfect- 5 large bedrooms in the main house with 4 baths will keep everyone in great spirits. On top of that there is an entire separate apartment above the garage. The house is easy to maintain and provides you with view you will never be able to imagine. You have quick and easy access to an amazing beach and everything you could want in the house itself. Imagine? Theater recliners that over look the ocean , but if you're wanting more excitement - 6 large screen tvs in the main house. The whales are visible with the naked eye from the living room or the deck and I mean do visible. We saw one come up and open his mouth. Captured on film with just an iPhone and a small telephoto lens from inside the house. Bald eagles nest nearby and visit daily. Dennis and Louise are very professional. You will not want or need anything but if you do they are amazingly responsive. Enjoy - this is a once in a lifetime opportunity!

My family and I spent 5 wonderful nights in this home. It is so beautiful and very spacious! Just like the other reviews say, the pictures do not show how amazing it really is. They do show the view, which is incredible!!!! The bedrooms are ALL great, Tvs in every room even though I don't think any one of us turned one on the whole time!!! The beds are super comfy and the bathrooms are all large. The kitchen is beautiful & the living spaces are comfortable and very roomy. The pathway to the beach is amazing as well! None of us wanted to leave and will definitely stay there again! The owners are very sweet and accommodating. Thank you Dennis and Louise....Georgie's was fantastic!

This is the third year five high school friends and their spouses have stayed in your beautiful house. It is amazing that these guys have had a special bond for over 50 years enjoying and supporting one another. This was the first time it was stormy so we spent more time indoors just gazing at its wonder and feeling so blest to be together once again. The gals found the bead store in Nye Beach so we had a ball makingwrap bracelets but found time to put together an Oregon Ducks puzzle, too. The guys had fun just catching up with each other.....and we even found them on the deck during a rare sunbreak just soaking it all in. This house works so well for us as it has a bedroom and bathroom for each couple ensuring individual space for everyone. It is stocked like no other and attention to detail is everywhere in the décor and care of the home. We are looking forward to next year already!! Thanks so much to Dennis and Louise for lending us this gorgeous piece of heaven to kick back and relax with those that mean so much to us.

My family of 8 stayed over Christmas 2016. Most couples had their own bath and two others shared another bath. This house was so accommodating. The large dinning table with enough chairs/dishes/etc for all was used for comfortable meals, games, crafting. My bed was indeed comfortable and the bedrooms felt private. The beach access would not work for anybody with mobility/heart issues but for everybody else the brief walk made for easy enough, nice exercise. We got lucky with two gorgeous sunsets. The beach was not crowded at all. The owners were available and easy to communicate with. They even mailed some forgotten pjs. Small heads-up, bring your own firewood/kindling (tools in garage if need to make kindling) - can be bought in town. There was a list of rules including limits on crab cooking/storage (if needed, bring cooler for deck), firm 10:00 check-out, limit on parked cars, etc. Hope to return again. Thanks for sharing your beach house with us! We had a lovely time at your place. We were 8 and felt so comfortable. The pics online don't really showcase very well. 😉. Thanks again and we hope to visit in the future!

We had a great time watching the storms at the beach as it poured and hailed off and on all weekend. This was the first time for my sisters and brother to stay at your home and they loved it. As for me I am never disappointed in the outstanding efforts you present with the attention to detail and, of course, the perfection in cleanliness. Just know we appreciate it so much. My brother and sister-in-law stayed in the front bedroom. We enjoyed every minute and have voted to come back again next year. As for my husband and I, you will probably hear from us again in the fall when our "Geezers" want to return for their 4th time staying there. They don't want to stay anywhere else. Thank you once again for letting us use your beautiful home. It has become our "second home" at the beach! It was a first for our extended family of 4 couples to stay at this beautiful home. Everyone so enjoyed watching the storms come and go on the ocean....with a few sun breaks as well. The house was appointed perfectly, providing everything we needed....and then some. We cooked, played games, watched movies and enjoyed our precious time together. We all voted to come back next year as it was the best!!

Perfect place for rest and relaxing with a view to beat the band ★ ★ ★ ★ ★
We came over for the Newport Half Marathon and wanted a comfy place to kick up our tired feet post race. We definitely found that, and more, at this house. A great floor plan, well stocked and prime location all greeted us when we arrived. It's the type of house you want to take care of, because the owner obviously cares about it.
We have three families and some kids, and the layout couldn't have been better for us. Each family had their own "wing" of the house - which came in handy when the baby started crying in the early morning :)!
We are a food group, so having a kitchen as well laid out as the one at this house was a true surprise, a welcomed surprise. We were able to cook, eat and mingle in the same space without feeling too crowded or like we were running into each other.
We plan to run the "race" again, and if that happens, we plan to stay at this home again! It really was exactly what the Dr. ordered! Thank you!

We have stayed in many VRBO properties and they have all been very nice. This house in particular was exceptionally well appointed and came with plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms and a great ocean view from the kitchen, dining room and outside deck. Just minutes from Newport, it was a great venue. We used this as our base for our son's graduation from OSU, and this house allowed everyone to stay in one place and the "commute" to Corvallis was an easy one. Definitely recommend this property for a nice get away at the ocean, especially if you are bringing extended family or friends with you -a lot of rooms and most with their on en suite bathroom. An excellent stay!

We loved the amazing views, the great walking beach, and of course the lovely home. Getting to the beach was fast and simple, and everything in Newport was just a very short drive away. The area has some good restaurants, and we tried a few, but mostly we preferred to dine while enjoying the best view around--which was from our own deck and dining room. We really enjoyed our stay here and highly recommend this lovely oceanfront getaway!

We spent seven wonderful days with family in this exceptional home. The house is "outstanding" because of the thoughtfulness and thoroughness of the owners. The house is perfectly designed to allow people to gather together or have their own space. Because each bedroom has it's own bathroom, there was plenty of privacy. The owners have thought of every single detail to insure that the renters are comfortable and have everything they need. I even enjoyed washing dishes. The view from the kitchen window is fantastic. The sometimes calm and sometimes crashing waves seem to take your mind off the fact you are cleaning the kitchen. We spent many hours inside and outside watching the ocean. We enjoyed both ways to and from the beach. But, more importantly, we enjoyed our time together in this outstanding oceanside on the Oregon coast. Thanks for the privilege of sharing your home!

We spent two nights at this property to celebrate my mother's 70th birthday and the location, rooms and amenities were all perfect for our family of 10.
